Rain, incidents, penalties, Safety Cars and Cam Waters still couldn’t deny Broc Feeney a stunning victory in the Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440 finale.
The Triple Eight Race Engineering star officially took out the 2025 Repco Sprint Cup with a commanding victory in Race 25, with Feeney forced to overhaul Waters, Kai Allen and Andre Heimgartner after a Safety Car turned the race upside down.
Waters and Allen filled the podium, while Will Brown was tipped into a spin by Ryan Wood in the closing stages, with the reigning champion finishing 16th.

Feeney launched off the line into a clear lead through Turn 1, with the whole field managing to avoid a second pile-up in as many days. Wood slotted into second, with Anton De Pasquale picking off Brown.
Within three laps, the rain arrived, and the pit lane leapt into action. James Courtney was the only driver to take on wets at the end of lap 3 before the pit window opened, but the gamble failed within a matter of laps.
As the showers eased off, the track came back to the drivers, and Feeney opened up a 3.2s lead by lap 10. Brodie Kostecki was 1.8s behind Wood in third, having picked off Brown and De Pasquale, with wildcard Zach Bates holding off Chaz Mostert.
Will Davison and Cooper Murray were first to stop on lap 12, with Davison serving his penalty. Hill and Payne were brought in on lap 17; by that stage, Feeney’s lead had blown out to 5.5s. Having failed to clear Bates, Mostert was brought in on lap 18, with De Pasquale stopping on lap 19.
Brown was pulled in in response to the undercut threat from behind, and emerged well ahead of De Pasquale, who was under pressure from Mostert. Kostecki followed suit, and was unable to hold off Brown, while Bates was undone by a botched stop.
Feeney pressed on until lap 28, and emerged six seconds ahead of Wood. As Crick sailed off, Allen, Waters and Heimgartner served their first stops, as the rest of the field came in the complete their pit stop requirements. With the field trundling around at 80km/h, Allen, Waters and Heimgartner came in for a second time, with Tickford managing to get their man into the effective lead.
Waters led the field to green on lap 37, and Feeney immediately picked off Heimgartner. On the following lap, Feeney muscled past Allen, with Brown clearing Wood. Mostert, meanwhile, drilled De Pasquale at the final corner, and was awarded a five-second penalty.
Behind them, Bates was hit off the road by Percat at Turn 2, just after the latter’s teammate Hill roughed up the wildcard down the pit straight. Hill was slapped with a drive-through penalty, while Percat was hit with a 15-second penalty.
Feeney nailed the fastest lap on lap 39 in his pursuit of Waters, and was within 0.3s with 21 laps to go. Brown was sent into a spin by Wood at Turn 3, with the reigning champion dumped to 23rd. Wood was quickly hit with a 15-second penalty.
On lap 44, Feeney had a crack at Turn 3, but Waters got by. Feeney had another go at Turn 4, and gave Waters little chance to return serve. Within five laps, the #88 had put two seconds on the #6.
Mostert fought tooth and nail to clear Heimgartner, bringing several drivers behind into play. On lap 57, Mostert finally picked off Heimgartner, who was dumped to seventh as Payne and Kostecki muscled past.
Drops of rain began to hit windscreens with three laps to go, but Feeney was untroubled, winning by 8.8096s.
