The WNBL recently unveiled the fixture for the upcoming 2025/26 season with a new-look summer of basketball on the cards.
The season will tip off when the Southside Flyers and Canberra Capitals face off on Saturday 18 October in what is set to be WNBA and Opals star Jade Melbourne’s return to Australia.
The opening round will be closed out the following day with a championship rematch between the Bendigo Spirit and Townsville Fire.

Every team will play 23 matches, across 17 rounds, highlighted by Indigenous Round in Round 2, HoopsFest Perth in Round 14 and Pride Round in Round 15.
HoopsFest will involve all eight teams diverging on Perth from 15-18 January 2025, and it serves as the additional game on the calendar to the 11 home and 11 away contests each team possesses.
Six times throughout the season clubs will play twice in a round, meaning there are often midweek games to add to the weekend slate of contests.
The finals series will then comprise of best-of-three game series with the top four to partake in semi finals before the Championship series.
